The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of the Greater Los Angeles Area is dedicated to the advancement and education of the plumbing and HVACR industry for the health, safety, and comfort of society and the protection of the environment.
PHCC of the Greater Los Angeles Area was formed in 1906 to promote, educate and advance the Plumbing Heating and Cooling industry while protecting the health, safety and environment of Los Angeles. PHCC Los Angeles now serves the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
P-H-C Contractor members in the Los Angeles area have been directly supported by PHCC-GLAA (Greater Los Angeles Area) for over 110 years. Founded in 1906 when Los Angeles was just a small west coast city of less than 300,000 people, craftsmen in southern California agreed that an association of plumbing, heating and cooling professionals was a necessity for a growing metropolis. As the region grew so did the scope of PHCC throughout southern California. In 1968, PHCC-GLAA established their Journeyman Training program to benefit it’s membership and to provide expert training to the industry.
Since it’s inception the training program has grown to become a respected and trusted source of education and knowledge in Plumbing, HVAC, Cross-Connection and related fields.
PHCC is a federation comprised of state and local organizations across the United States and Canada. The PHCC—National Association is the oldest trade association in the construction industry—and the premiere organization for the p-h-c professional. Since 1883, PHCC has been the leader in promotion, advancement, education and training.
Today, PHCC has more than 3,500 contractor members from open and union shops, who work in the residential, commercial, new construction, industrial and service and repair industry segments. For further information on PHCC National please follow the link to the left.
