Since September 1968 the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors of the Greater Los Angeles Area has been providing skilled personnel to the PHC industry.
Whether it's Plumbing, HVAC or Backflow, our combination of "Hands On" training and classroom theory, under the supervision of our field-experienced instructors, has proven effective in preparing our graduates with marketable job skills.
All of our programs are based on the latest Uniform Codes which provide students with up-to-date information and state-of-the-art technology.
Our programs are administered by PHCC-GLAA through it's training committee, which is comprised of contractors with a deep abiding interest in training and educating the industry.
Our 8000 sq ft. facility is designed for today's technicians. It has four 22 ft. x 27 ft. classrooms and two fully- equipped labs.
We provide seminars throughout the year for PHC contractors. They include: two-day Code Tune-Up workshops, Journey Level Exams, Certifications in First Aid & CPR, Trench Shoring, Asbestos Awareness, Lead Awareness, and the list goes on...
Our program provides training at both the apprentice and journeyman level, with classes held during evening hours, allowing students to complete a full work day gaining on-the-job experience and putting their training into practice.
Our semesters parallel normal school sessions with classes meeting 3 hours a night, one night a week for 42 weeks.
Field trips, classroom demonstrations and guest speakers are interjected where practical. Hands-on training, lab time and homework is part of the normal curriculum.
